URBN Market February 15

Uncategorized

Hey Friends. I am so excited to tell you that I will be selling at the URBN Market on Thursday, February 15th.  If you haven’t ever been to the URBN headquarters (I actually haven’t!), it looks like the most amazing space. I seriously couldn’t be more excited to go. And the best part is that this market is open to the PUBLIC! So normal people like me and you can go. Actually I can’t believe I haven’t been here yet. I mean, this is definitely worth a PTO day. Make a day of it and grab a great lunch in the city with a friend, and then stop by the Market. Here are the details.

Address: Building 543, 5000 South Broad Street Philadelphia, PA 19112 (in the Navy Yard)

Date and Time: Thursday, February 15 from 9am – 4pm

Above photos from URBN, you can check out their URBN Community Instagram account.  If you’re not familiar with the term URBN, it is the company that owns Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People and Terrain. Oh and I think they own Vetri restaurants now too. Basically, everything they touch is cool and pretty.

I’ll be there selling my Brand*eye Home goods and will be bringing this amazing vintage hand knotted rug. DSC_0906

You may have seen a sneak peak of these pillows in my Instagram. I made them especially for the URBN market and they are not yet available in my shop. One side is a solid and the other is a Charley Harper bird fabric. I stopped at a great little fabric shop called Fabricate while visiting my niece in Boulder, and picked up the Harper fabric. DSC_0830

I’ll also be bringing this vintage rug.DSC_0879

And I am hoping to make the first of a set of pillows with these amazing antique, hand sewn, quilt blocks. When I saw this set of 50 quilt blocks at a Philadelphia Flea Market, I knew I had to buy them. I plan to make a few pillows from them, and this is the first. IMG_8533DSC_0828

I’ll be bringing even more rugs, and quilts, and lots of antique and vintage housewares. DSC_0895

Whew, there will be a lot of vintage and handmade goodness to peruse.

Let me know if there is something specific that you would like to see and I can bring it.

I hope to see you there!

Wooden and Milkglass Tablescape

Uncategorized

Are you already thinking about how to decorate your Thanksgiving table? Or maybe you have a dinner party coming up and you want a fall vibe. Here is a great idea for a super simple tablescape. Wood and milkglass. Or it could just be wood and white. Whatever you have will work. And if you want to buy any of this gorgeous vintage ware, it’s all for sale in my brand*eye home shopwoodentablescape4

I used a combination of wooden candle holders, wooden bowls, and milk glass glasses. woodentablescape3

How great are these turned wooden candle holders? And the combo of white pumpkins and green gourds? A local farm stand had these beauties and I scooped up the bumpiest gourds that I could find.

woodentablescape2And the milk glass hobnail glasses are gorgeous. I like how they make the wood pop even more, because of the contrast. I actually have 12 of them in the shop. You can find them and all of the vintage ware that you see here in my brand*eye shop!

wooden tablescape1How are you planning to decorate your table this year? Mine may look a lot like this. I am really digging the wood and white this year.

Follow me on instagram!

I have no idea how many people actually follow this blog, but I imagine that it is probably about 5. Ok, maybe it’s 15. But seriously, you should follow me over on instagram if you have an account! @brandeyehome

You can find snapshots of my home, and of course an ‘edited’ version of my life 🙂

And best of all, you can get first dibs on my finds! For instance, it’s much easier for me to just post a photo to instagram of a recent find. Then you guys can quickly see it, and message me to buy! Win, win.  DSC_0456

I found this amazing jewelry box at a local antique, collectable shop and posted it on instagram and facebook the following day on my lunch break of the ‘real job’. It found the perfect buyer within minutes. Coincidentally the buyer was a friend who I met at my first ‘real job.’ I mean, look at how amazing this box is! It is made of slabs of amethyst, which is my birthstone, so it was really hard to part with. I’m glad that it found such a great buyer and I may even see it in it’s new home some day. IMG_7301

And if you follow along on insta stories, you can see awesome views such as this! It’s atop the Bok builing at the Bok Bar in South Philly. The view is incredible!

Some new finds for the shop

Uncategorized

I have been finding lots of great items lately to stock the brand*eye home shop! Here are a few photos of what I have found, including some very incredible rugs. Check out the shop to purchase HERE.

And this one I’m keeping, because it fits in this space perfectly!

Auction Bounty

Uncategorized

I have finally had enough free time to check out auctions recently. I just switched jobs, so took off a week in between. Can I tell you how much I love them? I do. They are the best. Not only do I get to listen to the hypnotic voice of the auctioneer, and the excitement of the bidding, I also get to score great things for the brand*eye home shop. Here is some of what I have found lately. You can find these great things at the Clover Market April 9th in Chestut Hill (Facebook invite HERE), and the Craftery Market May 15th in a barn in Quakertown (Facebook invite HERE). I will also be at the Clover Market in May 21st in Bryn Mawr.

And this was today’s bounty. The rug runner is HEAVEN on earth!!!

Also heaven on earth, is the new (used), perfectly worn, black leather jacket that I scored at a thrift store yesterday. Dave and I went to a 70’s themed 40th birthday party last night, so I had to get a costume. I ended up also buying this perfect leather jacket for a steal, along with a few other things for the shop. I also apologize for the chronic bitch face photo 🙂
