The guest bathroom is finished and it looks fantastic! I am so happy with how it turned out! The best part is that the green cement hex tile is even better than I imagined. You may remember I was trying to figure out which way to lay it, and I think the layout I decided on works well with the layout of the room and gives a focal point to the room.
I’m so excited to finally share this dining room with you. This dining room project has been going on for quite a few years. We moved into this house in 2012 and while going through my old blog, I saw that the wallpaper was installed 3 years ago. http://brand-eye.blogspot.com/2015/07/dining-room-wallpaper.html You can see from the old photos (at the end of this post) is that that the bones of the room haven’t changed at all. What is new is the flooring, built-in cabinets and counter, pendant lights, and a fresh coat of paint (Sherwin Williams Marshmallow).
One of my favorite things to do in the Spring, besides admire all of the beautiful flowers outside our home, is to bring them inside to enjoy. Right at this moment I have a vase of amazing white peonies right on my desk so that I can stare at them all day. Here is a little snippet of what I have brought inside.
As you can see, this branch was yelling at me to give it a trim. So I brought it inside after shaking off as much pollen as I could.
It’s currently occupying this corner of our dining room. I’ll be posting a full reveal very soon of the dining room, but here are a couple of sneak peeks. How amazing are these lights? I have two of them!
And here are the peonies in the ‘wild’ at the bottom of our driveway.
And here they are in the dining room. The wallpaper is actually the first choice that I made for this room redo, about 3 years ago. I’m so happy this room is finally finished!
I am so very excited to announce that our home was featured on Philadwellphia, which is a local mid century modern home website. Check out all the gorgeous photos that were shot for the feature. They also have a lot tidbits and info about us and our home. It was built in 1963 by a local architect, Robert Morrison.
The craziest thing happened when this was posted. My Mom shared the feature on her facebook page and we found out that a nurse that she used to work with is a nurse for the architect of this home! As you will read in the article, the architect built this home for his family and they lived here for almost 50 years. We feel so lucky and honored to be able to live in this amazing home. It’s like living in a tree house and our friends have nicknamed it Ewok Village.
I’d love it if you check out the article and comment here with your favorite room. Mine is the living room/kitchen area.
And here is a link to a post about it from my old blog shortly after we moved in.
I had the pleasure of visiting the cutest house with the best view in all of Bucks County a couple of weeks ago. My friend Ericka who used to live super close, moved about an hour away to a tiny town on the Delaware River in Bucks County. She now lives in this amazing home with her husband and their 5 dogs.
I mean, look at this place. It definitely feels like it jumped off of the pages of a very cool magazine, like Martha Stewart Living. Ericka has always had really good taste and killer decorating skills. She recently downsized and moved in with her lovely new husband, John. It was so fun to see how she edited all of her stuff into this perfect Bucks County home. Amazing job lady!
The drive up River Road is absolutely stunning! It’s filled with cute towns along the river on both sides. The leaves are at peak season currently, so a drive up now would be even more beautiful than normal.
This is the view from her yard, looking down over the Delaware River.
LOVE this rug.
And the living room. A recent update from Ericka is that she scored an amazing leather sofa “from” Crate and Barrel. And by from I mean actually from Craigslist for a deal. I can’t wait to see it.
I’m in love with the details in this guest bedroom.
You can see my sister’s cute head in this shot. She was visising us from Florida, and spent the day with us, which was also wonderful.
The attic has this amazing window.
Chill spot in the master bedroom.
View from the ROOF deck.
Love the detail of this trim.
Here are more back yard views.
And bathroom details. I love the collection.
This pheasant rules. And the antique piece that it’s sitting on is stunning.
Here are 2 of the 5 rug rats, on an amazing rug. Ericka has 2 boxers and John 3 basset hounds.
They also have a BOAT! Yes, we also got to chill on a giant pontoon boat on the Delaware River on a glorious day. It was like in the 70s/80s that day.
Thanks for the hospitality Ericka and John!
I’d love to know, what was your favorite part about this home?
