If you may recall, on September 1, 2021, our home was hit by a tornado (you can read about it here). I won’t bore you with all of the details, but to briefly summarize the whole process took forever and ever. It was an incredibly long and arduous process, but it is DONE! And it looks fantastic.
We decided to do a patio instead of replacing the deck, which I am so happy with. The previous deck cut the space in half and wasn’t large enough to use. Now the space has a better flow and is a large area for hanging out and entertaining.
Due to fewer trees, we now have a plethora of sun which is perfect for a garden. I added a couple of raised garden beds. They are doing so great and we are enjoying the harvest of escarole, kohlrabi, zucchini, herbs, peppers, and tomatoes.
We spend so much time out here now. I love to see what’s going on in the garden and it’s a great spot to relax. Winnie has been enjoying it too.
It feels so great to have the house all back together. These two spaces had to be rebuilt and they look great.
