We had the perfect snow day yesterday and I spent it decorating the house for Christmas. Winnie spent it cuddled up in “her” chair with a quilt, and Dave ripped out the carpet in the dining room. He also made a homemade pasta and meatball dinner. I was definitely the winner yesterday!
It’s so fun to be able to change up the house after I have a pop up shop. It’s like I get to start with a clean slate and I usually mix in my shop items. It was especially fun this year with the glass collection that I have amassed. Most of the items below are actually for sale in my shop. Some are not yet listed. You can message me for anything that you see, except the ceramic tree, that is all MINE.
The above is the minimalist holiday design, with just lights and vintage glassware. And below is the maximalist with lots of trees added. Which do you prefer?
I collect Christmas trees and my collection has grown quite a bit over the years. I try to buy or craft some new ones each year, so the collection is always expanding. The ones on the right below were crafted last year. And the jeweled tree was a gift from my parents. It is an antique and oh so cute. I have 4 of them, which I’ll have to get better pics of.
We switched around some seating and moved this piece of our sectional to this nook. I think it makes this part of our house so cozy! What do you think?
It was the perfect amount of snow to make everything beautiful!
Here is the house all aglow last night. As you can see, Winnie pretty much didn’t leave that spot all day. I used tinsel on the tree this year and I LOVE IT! Every year I look for it and can never find any. But last year I found some at a yard sale. Score!
The tree is decorated with lots of birds, tinsel, lights and round glass ornaments in silver, orange and blue.
Have you decorated your tree yet this year? What was your theme or color palette?
