Week 2: Fall One Room Challenge-Guest Bedroom

Oct 16, 2018 | Bedroom, Design, One Room Challenge

And so week two begins (and ends). I basically have done nothing except order a few flooring samples and I am currently in Ireland for a week. (Edit, I was in Ireland for a week, and was unable to post this while there. Sorry for the delay!)

I think I maybe should have planned this a bit better. Oh well. Here is some inspiration that is sort of the vibe I’m going for in this round of One Room Challenge. inspiration

There will be lots of house plants. And the below wallpaper will also make an appearance. I have one roll and need to use it for the one wall in the bathroom. Since I will have some extra I will also use it for a small wall in the guest room to tie the two together. It is the very famous Woods Wallpaper by Cole & Son. Believe it or not, this wallpaper was designed in 1959! It is actually something that could have been installed in our home, which was built in 1963.

The room below (from Martha Stewart, read all about it here) is sort of the sparse vibe I am going for, but with more plants. Let’s see if I can do sparse in a room with so much going on! You can find my week one here, with before shots of our guest bedroom.

Come back next week (tomorrow 😉 for more details of this One Room Challenge. And be SURE to follow along and see all of the other guest participants who are surely farther along than I am.
